The benefits of fitness!

We don't like to preach, but we do like to present the facts. Here are some basics that might help you decide if a regualr fitness program is something for you:

Did you know that Individuals who exercise regularly are less likely to develop:
• Heart disease
• Diabetes
• High blood pressure
• High cholesterol levels
• Certain forms of cancer
• Osteoporosis

Did you know - Individuals who exercise regularly are more likely to:
• Maintain a healthy body weight
• Effectively control the pain and joint swelling that accompanies arthritis
• Maintain lean muscle, which is often lost with increasing age
• Have higher levels of self-esteem and self-confidence
• Continue to perform activities of daily living as they grow older
• Experience overall feelings of well-being and good health

Consider the Long-term benefits of exercise. Exercise Decreases the Risk of Heart Disease. Research shows that inactive people are 2x more likely to develop coronary artery disease (CAD) then active people.

Exercise can decreases Blood Pressure. We know high blood pressure increases the risk of heart disease, stroke and kidney disease. Inactive people are 2x more likely to develop high blood pressure than active people.

Most of us know Exercise Decreases Body Fat. Regular physical activity helps maintain optimal body weight and composition. High levels of body fat unfortunately can lead to high blood pressure which increases the risk of heart disease, stroke and kidney disease.

The good news is Exercise ALSO Decreases Cholesterol Levels

Another interesting exercise fact is that exercise can relax you  One exercise session generates 90 to 120 minutes of relaxation response. Some people call this post-exercise euphoria or endorphin response. We now know that many neurotransmitters, not just endorphins, are involved. The important thing though is not what they're called, but what they do: They improve your mood and leave you relaxed.

By exercising you can look and feel fit as a fiddle. Exercising at high intensities can increase your levels of human growth hormone. The higher your levels of growth hormone the younger you’ll feel and look. Exercise is so important in assisting with the production of this hormone as our body’s natural ability to produce growth hormone drops off in your twenties. If you want to feel younger we can certainly help with the exercise.
