Be Happy, Be Healthy

The pressure that comes from trying to be a competent, committed family member and a fit, healthy human being can be overwhelming.

Sometimes health and fitness can seem to be far too complicated. We think it is time for some balance and simplicity. Well-being is a state of mind, as well as body, and achieving it can be a simple, joyful exercise.

Take a walk in the park. Eat an apple. Play with your dog. Sleep in. Now, does that sound hard? We didn’t think so. Remember, in addition to counting how many sit-ups you did, how many calories you have consumed or how many miles you ran, why not also add up the times you smiled or how many different flowers you saw on your walk or how many people you said hello to.

Be careful, being happy is contageous...the more you practise it the more you become... healthy!
